Policies

My relationship with my clients is built on a foundation of mutual trust and respect. As a condition of working with me, all clients must agree to the policies listed below. If you don’t support any of my policies, please do not schedule an appointment with me. Thank you!

CONTACTING ME
As a sole proprietor, I do my best to accommodate my clients, but I’m not available 24/7. All inquiries made outside of business hours will be answered on the next business day. Business hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday 10am-7pm and Friday & Saturday 10am-4pm. Thank you for understanding that my time is as valuable as yours, and for respecting my personal needs for time off and self-care.

CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS
If you are unable to keep your appointment, I require 24 hours notice. You must contact me directly via phone call or text message at 860.204.7707 in order to reschedule or cancel. Do not reply to the confirmation or reminder texts you receive about your appointment, as they are sent from an automated service.

Please understand that 100% of my income comes from my valued clients, so canceling your appointment last minute affects my livelihood. It also takes an appointment away from someone else who may need to see me. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged the full service fee. If you have a package or gift certificate and cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or you are a no-show, you will forfeit that pre-paid session. This is simply a protection of my time and my income. Your support is most appreciated!

TARDINESS
All sessions begin and end on time. Please plan to arrive a few minutes before your appointment, so that we may discuss your current health. If you are late, your time will be cut short in order to accommodate the clients scheduled after you. You are still responsible for full payment of the session.

SERVICE REFUSAL AND TERMINATION
I provide therapeutic massage and bodywork for the purposes of improving and maintaining my clients’ health and wellness. I reserve the right to refuse or terminate services at any time should my profession or my person be disrespected or violated. Reasons for refusal or termination include but are not limited to: sexual advances, other inappropriate behavior or speech, intoxication, contagious illness, poor hygiene, chronic tardiness and/ or cancelling last minute.

BOOKING AND PAYMENT
New clients must book their first session online in order to fill out the necessary health intake forms. All clients can create an account at the time of booking, in order to avoid filling out the intake form with every future session they book. A credit card is required when booking in order to confirm your appointment. Paying in full for your session at the time of booking is optional. Acceptable forms of payment are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

GRATUITIES
No tipping, please! I sincerely appreciate your generosity. However, I consider massage therapy an integral part of your health and wellness plan. I align myself with other health care professionals, like acupuncturists and chiropractors, and they don’t accept tips either. I’d much rather see you channel that extra money into more frequent massage for yourself. Repeat business and new client referrals are the best ways to tip me, because they keep my business thriving.
